Ensuring deliveries everywhere in France on D+1, it is not improvised. Star Service Healthcare, an expert in the secure distribution of healthcare products and research, understands this. With a strategic network of 26 branches throughout France, the Star Service Group Health brand wanted to go even further in the quality of its services and has therefore invested in the last two years in the modernization of this wide network.

Star Service Healthcare, the Star Service Group’s health brand, specializes in the delivery of biological, pharmaceutical and health products, and has 26 branches throughout France, including 3 national hubs in Chilly-Mazarin (91), Saint-Genis-Laval (69) and Montmarault (03). It has a fleet of 915 own vehicles and relies on 990 employees, loyal and trained, among others, in good distribution practices. A solid structure allowing it to ensure deliveries under controlled temperature throughout France on D+1. And it’s not the only string in his bow. Star Service Healthcare’s services are both specialized through offers specifically designed for professionals in the pharmaceutical industry, biology & biotechnology, the hospital sector, sterilization, biodivers or veterinarians but also flexible through tailor-made services that meet the constraints of each client. “Rigor and quality of service are an integral part of our daily requirements. When we act in the healthcare sector, it is essential to ensure the compliance of our processes and the respect of the products we transport. This must be complemented by services that can meet the constraints, sometimes very strong, of our customers. The renewal of our DEKRA ISO 9001 and DEKRA GDP (Good Delivery Practices) certifications is a guarantee of trust for our customers, as is our service quality rate, which stands at 97%* for 2022,” recalls Hervé Street, President of Star Service.

Extensions, new locations, security… A strategic modernization of the national network
Over the past two years, the temperature-controlled transport expert has significantly modernised its network of branches, offering additional guarantees to its customers. The agencies of Saint-Gratien, Rennes, Aix-en-Provence and Poitiers have moved to benefit from larger spaces and expand the area of their cold rooms. “The size of many of our cold rooms has doubled or even quadrupled through this modernization of our network. This provides more space for all the controlled temperatures (<-25°C, +2°C/+8°C, +15°C/+25°C) while optimizing logistics flows,” says Hervé Street. These moves have also allowed Star Service Healthcare to establish itself in more strategic locations, close to major roads, to optimize flows and reduce approach times. In addition, video surveillance systems integrated with agencies (cameras, intrusion detection, etc.) ensure maximum product security. Finally, the equipment of new sites in electric charging stations completes the modernization operated by the specialist of the transport of health products. This step allows to optimize the preparation of the routes and to be able to propose to the actors of the health sector, more responsible delivery solutions. “This project to modernize our national network meets two main objectives: to offer an ever more efficient quality of service to our customers and to meet our long-term ambitions. The acquisition of these new electric charging stations is part of our overall CSR strategy, one of the main objectives of which is the decarbonisation of deliveries we make on behalf of our customers,” says Hervé Street.

The strength of a Group resolutely involved in its CSR strategy
The Star Service Group carries out a precise and concrete CSR strategy, combining vision, short-term actions and long-term objectives. Each of the Group’s brands follows this strategy. Star Service Healthcare wants to be transparent about its CSR actions. “Whether it is the realization of our Carbon Footprint Scopes 1, 2 and 3 or the voluntary publication of our DPEF 2022 (Declaration of Extra-Financial Performance), we want greater transparency with all our stakeholders and reliable indicators on which we can set concrete objectives. The renewal of our Ecovadis Gold Medal, which benefits Star Service Healthcare, is proof of the strength of our CSR strategy and our ambitions for the years to come,” concludes Hervé Street.
