BOA Concept also disrupts palletization
BOA Concept, designer and integrator of intralogistics solutions, presents a robotic palletizing solution boosted by the industrial vision know-how of its robotics subsidiary, RobOptic. Equipped with an intelligent vision system, this new robot is capable of simultaneously managing up to five pallets of homogeneous or heterogeneous loads.
BOA Concept continues to enrich its offering as a global player in intralogistics. Just one month after unveiling the Plug-and-Store and Plug-and-Pick systems , dedicated respectively to storage automation and picking operations in warehouses, the company is taking a new step forward with this palletizing robot. It specifically addresses the complex challenges of logistics. "Palletizing robots have existed for many years in production plants, for boxes of uniform sizes," explains Patrice Henrion, CEO of BOA Concept. " Our innovation lies in our disruptive approach to the system with an offering that adapts to the business needs of each customer and not the other way around. This new solution is the perfect answer to complex intralogistics environments, where operators must compose pallets with packages of various sizes, whether semi or entirely heterogeneous."
An intelligent vision system
Developed with the expertise of its subsidiary Rob O ptic , BOA Concept's palletizing robot can build up to five pallets of packages of different sizes and weights (up to 30 kg), optimizing their layout to maximize the number of packages per pallet, while taking into account ergonomic constraints. The solution integrates an intelligent vision system and an algorithm developed by BOA that work together to optimize the picking, dropping and alignment of loads while taking into account weight constraints to build homogeneous and easy-to-transport pallets.
An accessible and quick to deploy solution
BOA Concept offers a wide range of grippers around this complete solution that provides optimal precision and speed of execution to palletizing operations, which are often complex. The key is significant gains in terms of productivity, optimization of loading and transport costs, as well as a reduction in repetitive handling tasks that often generate musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) among operators.
Easy to integrate, the robot can be put into service in less than a week. Marketed at a price between €110 and €150,000, depending on the rates and the type of gripper chosen, it offers a return on investment of less than 18 months. The robot can operate autonomously or be integrated into an already automated supply chain. The solution is already deployed and operational at several logistics and e-commerce players.
