Wexlog integrates PTV Developer into its TMS offering

Software solutions publisher Wexlog has chosen to integrate the API catalog of the new PTV Developer platform from PTV Logistics. Objective: to enrich its Wex4TL software package with a complete functional offering that meets all the road transport needs of its 4PL customers. This collaboration brings together two key players in software publishing specializing in transport and logistics.

A user of PTV xServer since 2019, the publisher has integrated the latest generation PTV Developer platform from PTV Logistics into its Wex4TL offering. Developed internally, Wex4TL is a transport and logistics management software combining a TMS and a WMS. This solution is aimed at operators specializing in transport and associated logistics. It offers a set of functionalities covering services ranging from order taking, planning, quality control, invoicing and the production of key performance indicators (KPIs). It supports complex international organizations, some operating in more than 100 countries around the world.

A TMS that is now 100% customizable

The migration to PTV Developer aims to support the launch of a customizable TMS offer in SaaS mode. Thanks to this integration, Wexlog is now able to offer its customers an open catalog integrating all of PTV Logistics' latest-generation APIs. This modular offer includes advanced features such as route calculation, address geocoding and map display, already available in PTV xServer, but further refined by PTV.

In addition, PTV Developer allows Wexlog to enrich its TMS with additional features: real-time vehicle tracking, ETA (estimated time of arrival) calculation, as well as the assessment of toll costs and CO2 emissions. PTV algorithms also allow Wexlog to offer its 3PL and 4PL customers optimized solutions for loading goods into trucks, thereby helping to further reduce the carbon footprint of transport.

This partnership, between two key players in supply chain software publishing, allows Wexlog to offer its customers tailor-made solutions based on modular functional building blocks that are adjusted to demand. A set of services that Wexlog markets in the form of packages.
