With one month to go before its opening, the leading BtoB event in the transport sector, Top Transport Europe, is sold out. Scheduled for October 16 and 17 at the Palais du Pharo in Marseille, the event will bring together 160 exhibitors and 300 decision-makers, for around 3,500 business meetings.

Since its launch over thirty years ago, Top Transport Europe, organized by DG Consultants (a subsidiary of Comexposium), has built loyalty among industry players. This enthusiasm is confirmed with the 2024 edition, which is already recording a maximum occupancy rate. "Top Transport Europe has become a benchmark in the sector thanks to its format: qualified business meetings, relevant content and quality conferences, all in an exceptional setting offered by the Palais du Pharo overlooking the port of Marseille," emphasizes Jérôme Letu-Montois, director of the event. This year, 160 exhibiting companies, including market leaders such as BERT&YOU, C-LOG, DACHSER, FM LOGISTIC, GEODIS, HYLIKO, KATOEN NATIE, MALHERBE, SHIPTIFY, TRANSPOREON, UPPLY, XPO LOGISTICS, etc., will be present to offer their solutions to decision-makers in the sector, CEOs, transport directors and operations managers.

Operational excellence at the heart of discussions

The central theme of this 32nd edition will be operational excellence, with an approach that is both "pragmatic" and "ambitious" to meet the challenges of shippers. Around fifteen workshops and conferences will be held, addressing topics such as the pricing outlook for road transport for 2025 or concrete issues such as the management of delivery reserves and the general terms and conditions of sale of carriers. The theme of "ambition" will result in a particular focus on the challenges of sustainable development, particularly through discussions on new transport models. A round table will be dedicated to a 100% "Made in Marseille" sailing cargo project and another conference will address the decarbonization of transport in the South region.

Two "off-site" visits

The program will be completed by two "off-site" operations planned for October 15, as a prelude to the event. In the morning, participants will have the opportunity to visit the new combined rail-road transport terminal of the Open Modal group, located in the Clésud logistics zone, in the cities of Grans and Miramas. This infrastructure, which extends over 14 hectares, required an investment of 40 million euros and is part of an approach to decarbonizing freight transport. In the afternoon, a presentation of the Port of Marseille infrastructure followed by a boat tour will allow you to discover one of the largest commercial ports in Europe, which handles 80 million tonnes of goods annually. These tours will offer participants an immersive experience as close as possible to the operational realities of the sector.

“I am always impressed by the enthusiasm and anticipation that this event generates. The 2024 edition looks promising, and I am sure that it will meet the expectations of professionals in the sector. We are constantly looking to innovate and bring new ideas to renew the experience year after year. I hope that this edition will live up to our ambitions and that it will continue to affirm the leadership of Top Transport Europe,” concludes Jérôme Letu-Montois.
