The specialist in the transformation of insulating glazing with high energy and environmental performance announces the creation of a cell entirely dedicated to facades. Objective: to provide the best technical solutions within the framework of the new tertiary decree.

The new Nantes University Hospital, the Ycone tower in Lyon and the Part-Dieu station… RIOU Glass is multiplying major projects with glass facades. To support its customers in this market segment, which requires increasingly technical know-how mastered by the glass processor, RIOU Glass has just created a transversal unit across its 16 processing sites which will be entirely dedicated to it. “The facade market is one in which we have some great achievements to our credit. The creation of this unit is part of our strategic development plan, one of the aspects of which is the consolidation of our know-how. It will allow us to have an even more global offering in order to better serve our customers, construction companies, architects and communities, by supporting them in the construction of large glazed projects requiring technical products in compliance with the new tertiary decree in energy renovation” explains Christine Riou Feron, President of RIOU Glass.

An industrial tool adapted to the market

To do this, the independent glassmaker intends to rely on its local territorial network but also more particularly on two processing plants acquired in 2023: RIOU Glass Diffuver in Marclopt in the Loire department (42) and RIOU Glass Vidresif in Porqueres , north of Girona, Spain. A major argument for developing in this market: both sites are equipped with a “Jumbo” assembly line capable of producing large insulating glass (6,000 x 3,210 mm). A third site in the West of France will soon complete the group's industrial network for which investment capacity will be freed up to make it a dedicated site.

Tailor-made technical support

The facade unit will be led by Philippe Melon, founder of the company Diffuver, who joined RIOU Glass in January 2023 when the company was acquired. He will have at his side a dedicated team of experts who will cover the entire national territory in three sectors: the North-West, the Center Rhône-Alpes and the South, East and West. By creating the unit, RIOU Glass intends to make its expertise available to its customers. Upstream, by carrying out in-depth studies for each site in order to offer the best glazing solutions on the market, responding to all the technical complexities of building, whether in terms of thermal insulation and spectrophometry, acoustics, security goods and people and aesthetics. Tailor-made end-to-end support for projects which also extends to the delivery of glass products to construction sites, while respecting deadlines. “By strengthening our presence on the façade, we are confirming our presence in all building markets,” analyzes Philippe Melon. Everywhere in France, we will be at your side. »
