After breaking the codes of the transit market with its intelligent Plug-and-Carry modular conveyor, BOA Concept announces the launch of an innovative offer: by combining its Plug-and-Store automated storage system and the Plug-and-Pick picking robot , BOA Concept asserts its position as a global player in intralogistics.

To ensure its development, BOA Concept applies the recipe that made it successful: a customer-oriented technological approach adapted to the needs of the greatest number of users. "Ten years ago, we arrived on the intralogistics market, which was already very mature, by introducing the disruptive concept of intelligent modular conveying" analyzes Patrice Henrion, CEO of BOA Concept. "Today we remain faithful to this winning strategy: offering the possibility to all clients - SMEs, mid-caps and major accounts - to automate their warehouse with agile and scalable solutions" emphasizes the manager.

A modular and scalable shuttle storage system

The new Plug-and-Store solution presents major developments: its autonomous and interchangeable shuttle robots running on a passive rail guarantee business continuity, a major concern for our customers. The system is designed to densify storage areas while offering flexibility in picking operations. Indeed, different order preparation processes can be considered: buffer, put-to-light/ pick -to-light picking, manual or 100% robotic picking. Thus, it is not up to the user to adapt to the system but on the contrary, the solution which is built according to their expectations. In the same way, the Plug-and-Store is positioned on the automated storage market like BOA Concept's transit solutions: a scalable technological solution whose cost is truly proportional to the needs. The solution is scalable in terms of both speed and size: it is possible to add shuttles and aisles, but also to easily extend the rack in depth thanks to the concept of passive rail and autonomous and independent aisles. The shuttle robots transport 600x400x320 mm bins, with a payload of up to 30 kg. In terms of maintenance, everything has been designed to make the user autonomous . Gratings provide access to the bins and shuttles located at the different levels.

An intelligent picking robot for heterogeneous loads

Previewed at the latest editions of the Supply Chain Event and SITL trade shows, the Plug-and-Pick is designed for picking operations of both homogeneous and heterogeneous loads. It can be used as a preparation station at the exit of a storage system but also at the entrance of a 3D packaging machine or in the injection of sorters. The robot uses machine learning technologies to learn to grasp the objects to be picked like a human being. Thanks to these technologies, it becomes more efficient during preparations. Quickly deployable , it can perform up to 600 picks per hour, depending on the weight and type of products. Developed on the same principles of agility as other BOA technologies, it easily interfaces with the WCS supervisor as well as with the WMS on the market. This design also allows it to offer a profitable economic equation allowing an ROI to be envisaged over a year.

"At BOA Concept, our mission is to standardize disruptive and high-performance automation and robotization elements, making it possible to build solutions that meet the specific needs of a wide range of companies. We offer the market the possibility of benefiting from automated storage and goods -to -person preparation solutions at a cost correlated to the desired rates, allowing an immediately profitable investment. It is by focusing on new technologies that we have been building our innovations for 12 years. This is how our customers increase their operational efficiency with consistent investment levels," concludes Patrice Henrion .
